Sacred Heart Southern Episcopal Church will be meeting at 1440 Highway 70 East, Dickson, Tennessee. We are bringing traditional Anglican worship to Dickson, Tennessee, a community in Dickson County near Nashville. We worship using the 1928 Book of Common Prayer, supplemented with the People's Anglican Missal. We use the King James Version of Holy Scriptures including the Apocrypha as published in 1611. We are located in rural Dickson County, Tennessee. We are 30 minutes west of Nashville, Tennessee. We serve the nearby communities of Dickson, Burns, White Bluff, Charlotte, Fairview, Lyles, Bon Aqua, Pegram, and Kingston Springs. We have members who come from as far as Clarksville, Nashville, Smyrna, and Murfreesboro. We are restoring traditional Anglican worship in rural middle Tennessee just west of Nashville. We hold firm to the truth of Jesus Christ and the traditions of His church. For more information on what we believe, see the beliefs page. We celebrate Holy Communion on Sundays at 11:00 a.m. We celebrate many Holy Days with Holy Communion at 7 p.m. on weekday evenings (see our calendar page). We now have a chapel established within Peacock Jewelers, 1713 21st Avenue South, Nashville, Tennessee, in the heart of Hillsboro Village. We are offering Morning and Evening Prayer there Monday through Saturday. Morning Prayer is at 11 a.m. and Evening Prayer is at 6 p.m., except on days when Holy Communion is held in the evening at the church in Dickson, when Evening Prayer is moved to 4 p.m. We will offer other services there as necessary. We hope you will join us in worship soon. We are currently holding classes at 10 a.m. on Sunday mornings. The topic is Southern Episcopalians--who we are, what we believe. These classes can lead to confirmation for those who need that sacrament, but all are welcome to attend. Father Paul Wilson is serving as rector of Sacred Heart Southern Episcopal Church. He serves directly under Diocesan Bishop Richard Johnson of Clarksville, Tennessee. He also serves as Canon of the Diocese of the South. The Southern Episcopal Church and Christ Catholic Church are both currently led by Archbishop William Sloane of Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Sacred Heart has relationships with both of these groups.
